Aligners

Nowadays, they are more and more present - aligners. It is a set of transparent splints that the patient puts on himself, and which are made according to the scanned jaw prints with an intraoral scanner. In our institution we use the in-house method: digital jaw scanning, orthodontist in CAD / CAM software plans tooth displacement therapy, 3D printer we get models with planned displacements, based on which the dental technician makes individual aligners - transparent splints, and for each phase the movement of the teeth is made by one splint. When one splint makes the shift it was designed for, we make another and so on until the end of the therapy. The main advantage of clear alignments lies in their invisibility (because the splints are transparent) and that the patient can remove it himself.
